    BSides ‘unconference’ comes to Adelaide

Adelaide’s Lot Fourteen innovation precinct will transform into a series of cyber-themed villages over the next few days as the world-renowned BSides comes to Adelaide for the first time.

Originally launched in the United States in 2009, BSides is now a well-known event among cyber security communities across the world.

Run by volunteers within local information security communities, it delivers hands-on, practical experiences through a series of ‘villages’ of themed cyber experiences, together with structured presentations, break-out groups, workshops and capture the flag events.

    Cyber BSIDES event

BSides provides a platform for first time speakers, students, researchers, and new and experienced cyber professionals to exchange knowledge and ideas, collaborate, network, and deepen their skills and expertise.

With demand for cyber security talent continuing to outpace supply, it is critical to invest now in accelerating emerging talent.

The Department for Industry, Innovation and Science is proud to support this event, which provides practical and immersive experiences to build the capability of people working in this important sector.

BSides Adelaide 2024 will run from 17-18 May at the Lot Fourteen innovation precinct.
