Creating a strong community of women business owners

Research shows SA businesswomen face different and additional barriers than their male counterparts, impacting on the number of women who choose to start businesses, and their level of success.

More than 40 per cent of female respondents in our recent engagement said that they experienced barriers such as gender bias, difficulty accessing capital and not being taken seriously.

Under the SA Government’s Women in Business Program, we pleased to report that almost 1000 participants have reported a range of benefits, including growth in confidence, greater skills, and forging productive new relationships with other women, as peers and mentors.
