In 2022, DIIS partnered with Flinders University’s Australian Industrial Transformation Institute (AITI) to establish the Manufacturing Growth Accelerator at the Factory of the Future facility in Tonsley.
Through the Manufacturing Growth Accelerator, the AITI will work with industry to accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies amongst the SME community.
Eligible businesses can engage with the Manufacturing Growth Accelerator by participating in information sessions, bespoke accelerator projects, and/or Industry 4.0 assessment sessions. For example, South Australian company K-TIG is currently working with researchers on trials of their innovative welding technology.
